Frequently asked questions
What columns should my CSV have?
At minimum, a "Name" or "First Name" + "Last Name" column. Add "Phone", "Email", "Organization", "Address", "City", "State", "ZIP", "Country", "Birthday", "Website", and "Note" columns as needed. Column names are flexible — we map 50+ common variations automatically.
How is this different from the CSV to VCF converter?
They are the same tool — vCard and VCF refer to the same format. "vCard" is the standard name, ".vcf" is the file extension. The output is identical either way.
Can I import contacts from Excel?
Yes. In Excel, go to File → Save As and choose "CSV (Comma-Separated)" format. Then upload that CSV file here to convert it to vCard format.
Does it work with Outlook?
Yes. In Outlook, go to File → Open & Export → Import/Export → Import a vCard file, then select the .vcf file you downloaded. Contacts will be added to your Outlook address book.
